Aloha is a
complicated word. It is used to say hello, and good-bye, but
the most accepted definition
is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. That is what is meant by
Aloha spirit, and live
Aloha. A Hawaiian friend of mine told me Aloha meant "I am
the best my ancestors have
to offer you today".
Katrina is
to honor her ancestors, Tutu Katharine, auntie Kathleen,
and aunt Cattie, and all
of their sisters and brothers mothers and fathers and
loved ones.
Malia is to
honor the place where she was born, the Aloha spirit, and
all the people who have
given her their unconditional love.
Owens is for
me and my father and all the members of our extended
family, which I am very
proud of and thankful for.... My family is my social
security # 1.

Mom once told
me that God doesn't make mistakes, that everything is
exactly the way God intends
it to be. Katie has gone through a lot to find me.
Now I know why I'm here
and what I have to do. I've got my work cut out for me.
I know it won't be easy,
but nothing worth doing ever is. Right?
